Finally, the long-awaited visuals for Drake's "Miss Me" featuring Lil Wayne premiered tonight on MTV.
Directed by Anthony Mandler (who also directed "Over" and "Find Your Love"), "Miss Me" contains no spectacular effects, but there are some great and clever uses of Lil Wayne's green screen appearance. At one point, the entire Young Money Entertainment crew (with the exception of Nicki) surrounds Drake as Wayne raps his verse, his head a hologram on the screen. Other than that, a lot of posteuring and ice grils, but great use of only one piece of eye candy who is doing some interpretive dance for Drake in a four-cornered room.
According to MTV News, the video was filmed in two different parts. The first part was recorded earlier this year for Lil Wayne who had to film before he turned himself into prison where he's currently serving his time at Rikers Island. The second part was filmed in July. "Miss Me" is the third single from Drake's major-label debut album Thank Me Later.
